The music magazine released an exclusive album comprised of different cover versions of the popular songs that were created by the iconic Gothic Rock band, The Cure.
The popular English rock band, The Cure, was crowned NME’s “Godlike Geniuses” at this year’s Shockwave NME Awards on February 26, 2009. In honor of the iconic band, being both honored at the awards show and headlining the event; the music magazine released an exclusive album of cover songs, which was included as a surprise addition to their monthly issue. The 14 track album, which was thoughtfully named “Pictures of You”, contains a variety of cover versions of The Cure’s greatest hits, which had been created by different alternative rock artists over the years.
